UK - Star Hire (Event Services) Ltd has announced the transfer of its SteelShield fencing to Eve Trakway. Since inventing the solid metal fencing system in 1991, Star Hire has managed the hire of the system to promoters and event organizers all over the UK. Every festival-goer will be familiar with the green fencing, used for many high profile concerts and events. The handover to Eve Trakway is indicative of Star Hire’s intention to focus on the company’s core activities of supplying staging and specialist structures.

Managing director Maddy Sheals explained to reasons behind the move: "We took the decision to concentrate on staging and structures three years ago and our first move was to sell our sound division. As our core market sector has become increasingly complex and requires ongoing investment to remain at the top, we have now passed on management of the SteelShield fencing to Eve Trakway. This underlines our commitment to continue developing staging solutions for the music and events industries."

The SteelShield site crew, who have developed a highly respected reputation and been an integral part of the system’s success, will continue to erect it for Eve Trakway. Having just supplied staging to the BBC for the Radio 1 One Big Weekend in Manchester to kick off this year’s festival season, Star Hire will be supplying stages to many of the summer’s large concerts including the Download Festival, Princes Trust Party in the Park, T In The Park, Shania Twain, Route of Kings, Pride in the Park and the Red Bull UK Flugtag In Hyde Park.
