UK - The opening day of the ABTT (Association of British Theatre Technicians) annual trade show saw Strand announce its first customer for its new Palette range of consoles. White Light, based in London and Halifax, UK, have ordered their first three classicPalette consoles for immediate duty in its rental stock.

Dave Isherwood, technical director of White Light says: "We were impressed with the power and flexibility of the new console and the new click and point graphic environment. We already have a large fleet of 500 series consoles which remain very popular across a broad range of users so we could see that being able to introduce the Palette series in addition brings this new Strand control system within the range of an even larger number of users."

Isherwood continued: "Being able to read existing 300/500 series show files directly into the Palette consoles is a huge plus and I believe this is one of the many reasons we expect this new console to find favour with many of our rental customers."

White Light expects to take delivery of the first classicPalette consoles this month.

Strand's classicPalette is a classic memory console, which offers compatibility with file transfer support for 300 and 500 series console show files. With 150, 250 or 500 channels (and double those numbers of attributes), two playbacks and 32 submasters, classicPalette will manage complex shows with ease, say Strand.
