Built into 19 inch 1RU rack mounted enclosures, the new audio pass-through panels will meet a wide range of I/O requirements by providing a selection of popular interconnection options for fixed and mobile installations, says the company.
All versions have two 25-way D-sub connectors on the rear panel and engineers can choose four different male/female XLR combinations or 6.35mm (ΒΌ inch) jack sockets on the front panel. Internal connections between the D-sub connectors and the front panels are made using 110 ohm cable, making the panels suitable for digital, AES/EBU and analogue applications. The wiring protocol is to Tascam's DTRS standard pinout, which means the panels are 'plug and play'.
The complementary DB25 Breakout Cables are designed for high-quality, professional audio installations and are made with Belden 110 ohm 8-pair balanced cable and use Switchcraft's all-metal AAA-Z cord XLRs or stereo jack plugs. The standard length is 3m (10 feet) and custom lengths can be supplied.
