Adding to the potential of Norway's main sound rental company and complementing AVAB Cac's expansive portfolio, the systems' have recently deployed on a musical adaptation of legendary Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen's classic Per Gynt.
Staged in Norway's oldest theatre Den Nationale Scene (DNS), the production was directed by Robert Wilson and co-produced by two of Norway's largest theatres Det Norske Teatret and DNS - the score written by Michael Galasso.
Featuring as part of a sophisticated sound system, the Trantec systems' were specified by sound designer, Bjarte Vage. AVAB's Arthur Botnevik collaborated with Vage form the early stages to ensure that all the aspects of the system integrated seamlessly.
As a challenging production, with 21 cast members, the radio mic system played an integral role. Nine channels of the S6000 system were deployed and specified for its wide band frequency agility (operating between 798-865 Mhz) and its sonic clarity.
Bjarte Vage explained: "We chose the Trantec S6000 system for several reasons. The most important being its enormous flexibility and its wide frequency range. This made the system easy to incorporate with our existing wireless set-up, enabling us to expand its potential. Another reason is the minute size of its transmitter; it made all the difference to the cast. Additionally, superb sound quality, coupled with its innovative remote control software made this system our first choice."
AVAB's Arthur Botnevik commented: "We're delighted to have embraced Trantec's S6000. It's a powerful and contemporary tool that complements our broad range of high specification products, which are pre-requisite for successful live theatre performances. We're looking forward to collaborating with the Trantec team in the very near future."
