Project 33 is a product of ModTruss, the Meccano-style construction system distributed by Triple E
UK - Entertainment infrastructure specialist Triple E is set to unveil the latest model of its pop-up theatre at PLASA Focus in Leeds next week.
Triple E will build Project 33 as a performance platform at ABTT and the company’s stand at PLASA Focus is the opportunity to see its dramatic plans for the technology in the meantime.
Commissioned by the Pleasance Theatre Trust for a role at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, Project 33 is a product of ModTruss, the award-winning, Meccano-style construction system designed in the US and exclusively distributed by Triple E this side of the Atlantic.
David Edelstein, managing director at Triple E, comments: “Project 33 demonstrates the remarkable flexibility of ModTruss. It’s an extremely strong, flat-packed solution capable of taking almost any shape and supporting attendant production weights, anywhere.
“ModTruss answers so many questions across the event map, we’re delighted to take a scale model of its first major UK incarnation to PLASA Focus.”
An eminently versatile solution for a range of profile events Stateside, Super Bowl 50, World’s Greatest, Fox Sports West and Cine Gear Expo among them, ModTruss has unlimited connection points, which allows the product weight to be reduced without sacrificing its strength.
