UK / UAE - Unusual's presence at the forthcoming PALME exhibition (Dubai, 27-29 April) marks the launch of the company's new Middle East operation, scheduled to open in Dubai in the autumn of 2008.

Replicating the service in the UK, Unusual says the new office will offer a specialist rigging and engineering service, supported by a comprehensive range of well maintained and up to date equipment. Operating to European standards, all equipment will be stored locally in Dubai.

Alan Jacobi, MD of Unusual, commented: "This is a significant investment and development in the life of Unusual. The decision to open up in the Middle East has been made as a result of numerous requests for comprehensive technical rigging solutions, backed up with a proven track record. The marketplace is expanding so fast that it became a logical decision to take up the challenge."

Presenting the broad range of rigging and engineering solutions offered by the company at the PALME Dubai exhibition, Unusual will include the award-winning and highly successful winch - The Revolution, the Liftket range of electric chain hoists and Prolyte's truss & Stage Dex ranges.
