USA - Nemetschek North America announced that it has donated VectorWorks Spotlight 12.5 to a winner of theBehind the Scenes raffle held at the 2007 USITT Conference. The Long Reach Long Riders and the ESTA Foundation raised a total of $17,800 for Behind the Scenes at the annual USITT trade show.

Behind the Scenes, an ESTA Foundation initiative, provides grants to seriously ill or injured industry members that may be used for medical care and living expenses. "We were thrilled by the level of support for Behind the Scenes at USITT this year," says Rick Rudolph, committee chair.

"I'm excited to put VectorWorks Spotlight 12.5 to use, as, having worked with earlier versions of VectorWorks in the past and SoftPlot, I find VectorWorks to be much more robust," says USITT raffle winner Jayson Adamsen, technical director, Rhino Staging.

Total Structures reports that it has made its first donation to the ESTA Foundation's Behind The Scenes programme. In October last year, VP Adrain Forbes-Black announced that they would donate $10 to the fund for every Lodestar and Prpstar Columbus McKinnon hoist they sold. With only five months passed, Forbes-Black announces that it has already provided the programme with a four-figure donation cheque.(Jim Evans)
