UK - Marry Me A Little is musical comprising of cuts from what have often been referred to as Stephen Sondheim's golden period. Craig Lucas and Norman Rene originally penned the show in the 1980s as a review. In August, the Gas Monkey Theatre Company brought the show to the Landor Theatre in North Clapham for a three week run. As a small theatre group, the cast and crew were preparing to perform using the theatre's existing lighting rig, but ETC's Richard Lambert stepped in to help make the show look as good as it sounds.

Lambert was originally asked to design the lighting by Ben Yates, who stars in the show. As part of ETC's outreach programme, Lambert offered a selection of ETC equipment for use on the show. The outreach programme provides equipment, technical skills and design services to performers who would not otherwise have the opportunity to enhance their work with appropriate lighting. Lambert explained: "I was very keen to help the performers at Gas Monkey get the most out of their show, I realized just how stylish the production could look with some additional lighting. I brought along an ETC Express desk, two SmartPacks and 24 Source Fours."

The show is made up of several dream sequences interspersed with real life and the lighting needed to convey the changes between fantasy and reality. "The lighting effects made it a pleasure to perform night after night," explained Yates. "The theatre can only seat 50 people, and for the last three nights we were sold out. As one of the main performers, I'm the first to claim it's a great show, but the ETC equipment meant the show was a lot brighter than it would otherwise have been. It really brought the story to life."
