UK - The ABTT Theatre Show is set to return for its 44th edition once more at Alexandra Palace on 5-6 June.
Over 150 brands will showcase their products and services. In addition, there will be more activities including skills workshops, training, seminars, demonstrations, CV surgeries, career advice and free hearing tests.
The ABTT Theatre Show always attracts a broad range of visitors at all stages of their careers alongside an ever-increasing list of exhibitors from all areas of the industry!
The two-day event will include a wide range of free seminars on the latest industry topics which run alongside the busy show floor. This year’s programme will be announced soon.
The ABTT will once again be providing a wide variety of hands-on skills-based sessions, including taster sessions from the ABTT Bronze Award for Theatre Technicians.

Taking place at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue, the show’s organisers have reported that it attracted 73,891 unique verified attendees from 162 countries, a record since the show’s inception in Geneva in 2004. This represents an increase of 27% on the 2023 edition. 
On the Wednesday (31 January) the show had 51,617 visitors, the highest number ever in a single day beating the previous record by almost 22%.

Sweden - XM Automation started the new year on a high by successfully demonstrating its XMove software controlling a number of automated bars in an existing theatre system. The XM team were able to show how easy it could be to upgrade the control front-end without requiring costly upgrades to the existing hardware or electrical installation.
The demonstrations attracted more than 50 Swedish theatre technical directors, technicians and consultants, all keen to see how XMove, the new front-end software could be used to run an existing system with minimal changes to the back-end. According to one attendee,“This event is too interesting to miss.”
The ease of use and intuitive, familiar feel of the software also surprised many attendees, who were able to try programming and running even quite complex moves for themselves after just a short introductory tutorial.
