In September 2007, Zero 88 took on European distribution of LightFactory control software, bringing this PC based lighting console to its extensive dealer network across Europe.
Following "an extremely positive response to this product", Cooper Controls will now provide marketing, distribution, service and support worldwide. Existing LightFactory dealers will continue to service their markets. Cooper Controls will be working closely with them, providing a high level of support.
Graham Eales, managing director of Zero 88 said: "Having seen the power of the LightFactory products we were very excited about selling them in Europe. Now that we have the opportunity to broaden the market internationally we are looking forward to this product becoming a mainstay of Cooper Controls. Together with Martin Searanck, managing director of LightFactory, we will be developing LightFactory to service new markets and user bases."
Cooper Controls will sell LightFactory as a complete boxed package. This includes the software, Cooper Controls USB to DMX dongles and quick start guides to allow the software to be installed and used quickly.
Cooper Controls has a range of accessories planned to compliment the LightFactory software. These are already in development and will be launched at PLASA 08.
LightFactory has, until now, only been sold through its entertainment brand Zero 88, but with its suitability for architainment, LED and environmental applications Lightfactory will now be sold as a Cooper Controls product, says the company.
