The Netherlands - Martin Audio will present its flagship product portfolio at this year's ISE2013 at the RAI, which they will exhibit on stand 3-C128. Although pride of place will go to the MLA Compact, which makes its ISE debut, the company will also display its OmniLine micro-array, which returns to the scene where it first picked up a coveted innovation award five years ago.

However, all eyes will be on the MLA Compact. Aimed at a wider range of touring and installed sound applications than the original MLA (Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array), in a smaller and lighter version, the MLA Compact delivers the groundbreaking cellular technology to a wider range of applications that do not require the full power and throw of the full-size MLA, or where a smaller, lighter system is required.

Sharing the same sonic attributes of the flagship MLA the new system's compact size (W: 788

UK - The eco-conscious and budget-minded now have a new way to cut back on energy expenditures, according to manufacturer ETC. ETC's Paradigm Responsive Controls - the latest additions to the award-winning Unison Paradigm family of architectural control - are a sleek, convenient way to reduce wasted electricity in any space, the company says.

Paradigm Occupancy/Vacancy Sensors use passive infrared sensors (PIR) to detect vacancy, automatically shutting lights off when a space is unoccupied. They can also be configured to turn on when someone enters a room. ETC's architectural market manager Joe Bokelman says: "The Occupancy/Vacancy Sensors save energy because you're not paying to light an empty room."

The sensors are available with masks to prevent trips or false triggers. Instead of having to dismantle the product to install the masks, the Paradigm Occupancy/Vacancy

The Netherlands - Receiving its official unveiling at ISE 2013, Genelec's Intelligent Signal-Sensing technology has been developed to meet with both European Union ErP Directives and the company's own wider sustainability commitments. This new technology will be applied to the entire catalogue of Genelec loudspeakers to minimise energy waste and significantly reduce power consumption when items are left in standby mode.

Genelec integrated amplifiers will now have electronic activity detection circuitry built in. This Intelligent Signal-Sensing (ISS) monitors the input connectors and detects if the monitor or loudspeaker is in use. If voltage swings are large enough to be considered that of above standard audio outputs, the product will continue to function. However, if the ISS circuit is not finding any audio on the input for a period of time, ISS automatically puts the loudspea

Germany - An increasing number of modern sound reinforcement systems require real-time monitoring of the loudspeaker lines. This is especially true in the context of evacuation systems, in which long loudspeaker circuits comprising many smaller, high-impedance boxes are often required. The Electro-Voice CPS series and Dynacord DSA series multichannel amplifiers already provide 100-volt-line direct drive operation for these types of loudspeaker circuits but in the past supervision of such Hi-Z lines was not practical due to the high impedance characteristics of the load.

The LML-1 (Loudspeaker Measuring Load) allows the real-time monitoring of loudspeaker lines in Hi-Z sound reinforcement systems. With the LML-1 module, it is now possible, even in large installations - such as those in stadiums or shopping centres - for smaller 100-volt loudspeakers, in entrance areas, lobbies or
