USA - ADJ has announced the immediate availability of its Allegro Z6 motorized linear fixture with zoom. It features six individually controllable 30W quad colour 4-in-1 LEDs; each LED offers a lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours, effectively preventing the need for lamp replacement even if the fixture is used extensively for many years, says the company.
The unit also features a motorized zoom function, allowing the angle of the six independent light beams to vary between 4°-32°. In addition, the bar on which the LED apertures are mounted is fitted with motorized tilt movement, while the precision motors allow for 16-bit smooth sweeping motion.

USA - High End Systems has announced the latest upgrade to the Hog 4 lighting console range, OS v3.13.
Hog 4 OS v3.13 contains improvements to the infrastructure of Hog 4, including a more robust handling of the command line and other internal processes. It also includes new additions to the Plots feature, including new plot objects like groups, palettes and lists, including text in the plot, more options for handling images and shapes, align to grid, and more.

UK - Lighting control manufacturer Zero 88 enjoyed a busy and lively PLASA 2019 where for the first time in the UK, the company presented its new RigSwitch remote controlled switching system together with a host of other neat, practical and innovative power, data and control solutions.
Running concurrently with the first two days of the show, Zero 88 also ran two days of free hands-on introductory and training sessions for the FLX lighting console family at the Hilton Hotel, a two minute walk from Olympia, which were popular and well received.

USA - A new training programme designed to teach stage technicians the safest way to operate telescopic and front-loading lifters has been introduced at WFX 2019 in Orlando by Spanish company Equipson, which manufactures WorkPro lifters.
Equipson has produced a series of 15 videos, voiced in English and Spanish, that demonstrate how safety issues can easily be avoided by following the correct procedures. These videos, which range in length from three to 10 minutes, cover topics such as setting up, elevating, mounting and descending telescopic and front loading lifters, how to safely move a telescopic lifter, how to mount a line array on a front loading lifer and how WireDrive works as well as how to rectify wire mistakes.
