The new KSL-SUB provides a small, lightweight format that extends the frequency response of a KSL System down to 36Hz with “exceptional dispersion control, impressive low frequency headroom and unmatched performance for its size”. USA - Newly-launched pro audio company ASI Audio x Sensaphonics has introduced 3DME in-ear monitoring system. The 3D Music Enhancement system combines all-new universal-fit Active Ambient IEMs with a sub-compact bodypack mixer and smartphone app with EQ and limiter, allowing musicians to create “a truly personalized monitoring experience”. 3DME makes its NAMM this week.

UK - Media server specialist disguise has released r17, the latest update to its software. Launched in response to user feedback, r17 brings workflow and user experience enhancements, including Manipulators and PreComps, and introduces Network Device Interface (NDI) support.
Users can now stream an NDI source from content tools to the disguise stage in realtime, unlocking new workflows for esports, fixed installations, and TV productions. Europe - Swiss electric chain hoist manufacturer GIS AG has launched two new D8 products, of 500kg and 1,000kg capacity, for mobile use in the entertainment sector.
The LPML and higher capacity LPL chain hoists are both capable of lifting over 40 times their own weight. The LPML weighs a modest 12kg (20kg with 18m lifting height) and delivers a lifting capacity of half a ton. The LPL meanwhile lifts 1,000kg, and when fully equipped for an 18m lifting height weighs in at just 39kg (23kg net weight).
The hoists will be introduced as a supplement to the popular GIS D8+ motors, used for static suspension of loads over people. Hoists to the standard D8 specification may also be used for static suspension of loads, but it is essential to have a secondary suspension, such as a load arrestor, for example. The hoists are manufactured in accordance with EN14492 and DIN56950.

Europe - L-Acoustics has announced the expansion of console partners, adding Yamaha Professional Audio, who has co-developed an L-ISA DeskLink for their flagship Rivage PM7 and PM10 mixing systems.

Belgium - AED Group has launched its own pro audio brand, AED Audio.
The news was announced during AED’s annual Customer Nights networking and showcase events in December and is seen as a return to the company’s roots, as AED’s CEO Glenn Roggeman designed and built loudspeakers during the 1980s and early 90s.
AED Audio’s range includes two lines, the Flex and Solid series. The Flex series comprises one model, the multi-purpose powered line-source speaker Flex6, which can be used in various applications, including flown as a line array or mounted on a pole.

Europe - Nexo has unveiled two new compact point source loudspeaker models in its P+ Series. The P8 and P10 are “true multi-purpose performers that have serious ambitions to become just as ubiquitous in the audio marketplace as their predecessors, the classic PS Series cabinets”.
