USA - DPA Microphones is previewing a new addition to its microphone line-up, the 4097 CORE Supercardioid Choir Microphone, at InfoComm 2019.
Suitable for house of worship and choir applications, the 4097 provides the same sonic qualities as the brand’s d:vote CORE 4099 Instrument Microphone but was designed specifically to capture dynamic choir sound, with both wireless or wired configurations.
The 4097 Choir Mic also features DPA’s flat off-axis supercardioid pattern and, like all DPA microphones, has been designed to be one of the most natural-sounding solutions available. As a result, the microphone has a very high-gain-before-feedback, and due to the off-axis characteristic that DPA is renowned for, it makes the entire choir sound natural - not just on axis - but from all angles. This makes using multiple mics on the choir easy for the sound engineer as he can

USA - Nexo’s new P12 is billed as “an ultra-versatile multi-purpose loudspeaker, bringing ingenious technical innovation to a wide range of sound reinforcement applications”.
This is the first time the company has designed a 12” enclosure. The much-anticipated P12 “promises to establish a new benchmark for the all-purpose point-source cabinet that can deliver at front of house, on stage, and as part of a distributed system”.
Inside the curvilinear enclosure of custom birch and poplar plywood, the P12 employs a purpose-designed 12” LF neodymium driver and 3” diaphragm HF driver in a coaxial configuration. The cabinet footprint is very compact, measuring 531mm x 432mm x 317mm. Frequency response is 60Hz-20kHz, and the SPL is an impressive 138dB Peak (passive)/140dB Peak (active mode).
In an innovative design twist which allows the user to customise

USA - Danley has introduced the J7-95 Jericho Horn cabinet at InfoComm.
The loudspeaker has the smallest footprint in the Jericho Series by being only 3ft tall (just under 1m) and weighing 265 pounds (116kg).
The J7-95 uses Tom Danley’s patented Synergy Horn Technology, merging the output of 12 of the 18 drivers through the fifth generation combiner to deliver ‘near-perfect magnitude and phase response’.
“The small footprint and big sound of the J7 make it the closest thing to a ‘utility’ Jericho Horn that Danley has ever made,” explains Mike Hedden, president of Danley Sound Labs. “The potential applications are diverse, and we encourage everyone to stop by the Danley booth at InfoComm to learn more.”
Danley has reported that the first eight J7-95 models have already been specified for the outdoor Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre near St. Lo

Europe - Milos has introduced the Armor Cart, a new hoist utility vehicle that provides safe and convenient transport and storage for up to four hoists.
Made from aluminium, the Armor Cart comes in two versions: model MAC-01-4025-A1 holds four 250kg hoists, and model MAC-01-2100-A1 holds two one tonne hoists.
Due to its compact form factor, and the possibility to stack Armor Carts on top of each other, transport volume is reduced up to 50% compared to flight cases, says the manufacturer. In addition, its open-air design reduces humidity within the interior and allows your hoists to dry faster, thereby helping to prevent corrosion.

Three models of Amplified Loudspeaker Controllers are available: ALC-404D (four channels x 400W), the ALC-1604D (four channels x 1600W), and the

USA - Yamaha is launching new products for the installed and live audio industries at InfoComm 2019.
The new PC Series D and DI models are a new kind of power amplifier, featuring state-of-the-art signal processing, Dante audio networking and a 20 x 8 input matrix. The matrix means that sound from analogue or Dante inputs can be output via Dante to another amplifier, after adjusting using the onboard processors, greatly enhancing the flexibility and scalability of the system.
There is a choice of standard (D) or installation (DI) version, both available with a power output of 600W or 1200W (8Ω) and delivering stable operation at a high load of 2Ω. The DI models can handle high-impedance connections, allowing them to drive multiple speakers from a single channel.

USA - Orlando-based Professional Wireless Systems has announced that the PRZM RF over fibre (RFoF) conversion system and Alpha Quad-4 and Alpha Quad-8 units will make their InfoComm debut in Orlando this week.
PRZM, designed to facilitate the remote placement of wireless audio antennas beyond 200ft, is ideal for live production as well as installed sound applications. As it is controlled via software, it allows the user to easily monitor status and adjust attenuation.
“As the RF available for production purposes continues to shrink, it becomes more important than ever to be able to create remote antenna systems that can cover large areas,” says Jimmy Van Winkle, general manager for Professional Wireless Systems. “The conversion and subsequent distribution of RF over fibre ensures that the signal is pure with no degradation of quality in order to have a seamless

USA - Christie has introduced the Christie Core Series and the next generation of Christie CorePlus. Core Series is designed for applications such as shopping mall kiosks, airport and public transit signage, and select corporate installations with budgetary constraints.
“We were, and still are, so excited to launch our Christie MicroTiles LED last February, which got a phenomenal response from our customers,” says Ted Romanowitz, senior product manager, Christie. “MicroTiles LED are best-in-class but there are occasions when customers don’t need those advanced capabilities or don’t have the budget, so we wanted to bring certain advanced capabilities to the ‘value’ space - and that’s where Core and CorePlus fit. Both CorePlus and Core Series deliver enhanced benefits and design flexibility typically offered only on more expensive products from the competition

UK - Allen & Heath has released Custom Control, a customisable cross-platform control app that offers bespoke control over the dLive installed audio systems.
Integrators can now freely design multiple user interfaces for systems built on the dLive engine, tailored to different user levels and/or device types. For example, a bartender can be presented with a simple phone interface, while the AV operator can access uncluttered levels and routing on their tablet, but more comprehensive control when using their laptop.
The design of the app interface is via Custom Control editor software for Windows and Mac OS. Access to all levels, mutes and sends is provided, together with preset recall, source selection and metering. Tabs can be configured for easy access to multiple control pages or zones. Once complete, the configuration is uploaded to the core of the system, the
