USA - Celebrating the company's 30th anniversary this year, Meyer Sound will bring a full slate of audio solutions to InfoComm 2009, which will be held on 17-19 June in Orlando, Fla.

More than 14 new products will make their InfoComm debut, ranging from cinema sound and corporate AV to commercial installation and networked digital systems for theatrical production and themed spectaculars. USA/Canada - ETCP has confirmed that there is a new testing centre in Canada. All three exams are now available for computer-based testing at Robertson College, 265 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.

Individuals must meet eligibility requirements to take the exams and applications must be turned in to the ETCP office for approval. Once a candidate is approved, he or she will receive a letter with information on scheduling the exam. UK - A new addition to the PL remote control range, the PL-11 is an IR receiver, which uses the proprietary PL-Anet Cat 5 plug 'n play protocol employed in Allen & Heath's iDR and iLive digital mixing systems. Built in to a wall plate backing, the PL-11 receives commands from the PL-5 hand held IR transmitter, which can be set to perform specific functions using iDR's System Manager software or via the TouchScreen in iLive mixing consoles.

The PL-11 IR receiver is useful where open or 'hidden' system settings need to be changed by authorised personnel, as they do not have any unguarded controls. 14 soft keys on the PL-5 can be programmed to manage functions such as levels, mutes, preset recall and MIDI strings for external equipment interfacing. iDR systems also provide tally / RS232 out, and IR protocol is contained in the System Manager software download bundle.

Germany - Dynacord continues its tradition of manufacturing high-performance amplifiers with the three models of its new DSA Multi Channel series. The new models are notable for their high output, high degree of efficiency, and ability to integrate with IRIS-Net.

The new amplifiers' Variable Load Drive (VLD) technology makes them flexible. Each channel can be individually configured to deliver a maximum power of 500 watts or 1,000 watts into any load from two to 10 ohms, or drive 70 or 100 Vrms loudspeaker lines directly without an output transformer.

UK - Following the launch of its latest Xone products - the Xone:4D and Xone:22 - in a new storm grey colour scheme, Allen & Heath has decided to alter the colour of related Xone products to bring them in line.

The British manufacturer received positive reactions to the new colour scheme, which was first adopted by the Xone:4D, launched in June 2008, followed by the Xone:22 in January 2009.

Consequently, the Xone:1D and Xone:2D MIDI controllers will be manufactured in the new colour scheme along with the Xone:4D to complete the :D Series, and the Xone:42 USB DJ mixer will join the Xone:22 DJ mixer in grey as Allen & Heath's entry-level mixers.

The change is purely cosmetic, and there are no alterations to the products' design or performance. The grey versions are filtering into distribution now and will begin to appear in retail outlets around the globe, says the company.

The MDR range of DMX512-A based splitters can be upgraded with RDM functionality, wireless DMX receivers, Powercon input power connector or a hook clamp mounting brackets for the portable model.
