UK - ML Electronics has announced a new low cost two-wire LED lighting control system design that can be managed from an iPhone as well as a PC or other computing device.

ML Electronics has completed a reference design for a low cost home LED lighting control system for 'retro fitting' into existing standard housing as a replacement for, or enhancement to, conventional lighting. A key feature of the system is that the same 24 VDC supply lines that power the LEDs are used for the control signals, using a unique protocol developed by ML Electronics.

The new v2.0 software makes the unit an even more rounded and complete recording package, and includes some great additions for journalists, musicians, songwriters, hobbyist recorders, says the company.

The Tascam HS-P82 is an eight-track location sound recorder, employing Compact Flash (CF) card digital media, for secure and robust recording with no moving parts. Independently tested for compliance to ATEX standards for use in Zone 2 and Zone 22 environments, the EXP series is manufactured from a tough high grade UL94V-0 rated Polycarbonate material. Similar in construction to Bulgin's 900 Series Buccaneer, the connectors are environmentally sealed to IP68 to provide protection for the most severe of dust and water borne environments.
