Austria - The Austrian AV technology manufacturer AV Stumpfl recently announced that its US projection screen and media server distributor Evolve has invested heavily in the AT64-Shift screen system legs.
Orlando, Dallas and Las Vegas-based Evolve distributes and rents out video equipment for the live events industry and also provides industry training programmes. The company is now working to convert its entire inventory over to the AT64-Shift system by the end of the year.

UK - Esports Championship Series (ECS) Season 7, the latest iteration of the world’s most-watched CS:GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) tournament, took place earlier this year, culminating in a four-day final in June at The SSE Arena, Wembley, London. The 16 groups that started the event were gradually reduced to four teams, which then battled through a knock-out competition to determine the season’s champions.

Ruary Macphie, touring project manager from Matrix UK Solutions (Matrix) ensured the correct equipment was supplied to fully enhance and deliver the content on the show. Overseen by Ruary, the team performed a thorough pre-show check of all the show equipment, an opportunity to modify, prep and test the video equipment - this took place in the warehouse of parent company Anna Valley. At this stage, the team ingested the Sri Lankan filmed footage and programmed it to 55 tracks.

Argentina - Berlin-based creative studio battleROYAL recently drew on the power of Green Hippo’s Hippotizer Media Servers to provide a ‘dazzling product experience’ at a corporate event in Buenos Aires devised for a financial services provider. The new Platinum Corporate card by American Express was the motivation for this creation, directed by battleROYAL’s Brendan Shelper and conceived and produced with Ogilvy Argentina and NA Producionnes.
The show, part entertainment and part art installation, was played to 200 guests facing the open sides of a 7m x 11m stage. Upstage, projection surfaces covered the rear two sides of the performance area, forming the setting for a story told through the interplay of human movement, tracking projections and light.

Belgium - tvONE reports that CORIOmaster has been chosen by custom motion graphic creators Prismax to drive more than 1000sq.m of video walls at Tomorrowland, one of the world’s biggest dance music festivals held in Boom in Belgium each summer. The main hangs at the arena were made up of 12 JBL VT-4889-1 per side, with eight JBL VT4888 flown per side as side-fill and six JBL VT4888 in the centre. The 20 JBL VT 4880 subwoofers were ground stacked at the side of the stage, while a series of Nexo PS15 wedge monitors were placed along the downstage edge. New Zealand - When TV comedy show 7 Days Live, produced by MediaWorks NZ, visited the Queenstown Winter Festival, the festival’s production supplier TomTom Productions was on hand with its Hippotizer Karst media servers from Green Hippo. The Hippotizer enabled them to deal with the additional visual requirements of the television recording.
“The brief was fairly simple,” says Hamish Edh, director of TomTom and designer of the festival’s live stage video elements. “Background eye candy that looks great on camera, as well as for the live audience, and having the 7 Days logo on the screens for the wide shots.
