The highlight of the Panasonic stand will be a reproduction of the Circle of Light festival projection where over 100 Panasonic PT-DZ21K2 projectors created a 19,099m2 image on to a group of Ministry of Defense buildings on the Fruzenskaya Embankment in Moscow.

UK - Following on from last year's highly acclaimed event, Letters Live returned to the Freemason's Hall in Central London in mid-March for its second run of shows.

Letters Live celebrates the art of letter-writing, and features a variety of well-known actors, personalities and performers, reading interesting and significant correspondence, both modern, and from history.

This year's shows supported a number of literacy charities and organisations including First Story, as well as providing some much needed profile for Help Refugees UK, which supports people fleeing from conflict in their home countries.

UK - Mariah Carey started her latest European tour March, Sweet Sweet Fantasy, by returning to the UK after 13 years' absence.

Working for the production team behind the tour, Creative Technology (CT) supplied seven Panasonic projectors which were used to feed playback content onto a number of upstage panels, all driven by Photon. The panels were able to move across the stage with the projection tracking and following the movements.

The four panels centred around the main upstage display, a large circular panel, which was also projected upon. All the visual effects were completed using projection.

Canada - Christie has announced that Gerry Remers, president and COO of Christie Digital Systems Canada Inc., will step down from his current role effective 8 July. Following his departure, Remers will continue to assist Christie as special advisor to Jack Kline, chairman, president and CEO of all of Christie's operating companies, worldwide, for an indeterminate period.

With the aim of growing its Theatre team's technical expertise in video, Gareth Jeanne returns to the UK from PRG's US operation, where he led XL Video's concert touring team and was more recently part of PRG's global Music Group. Gareth will take up the role of account director alongside experienced lighting specialist Peter Marshall.

The new role is a return to the theatre world for Gareth, as prior to joining XL Video, he was video project manager at Stage Sound Services.
