This allows the user to run power and data direct to each unit without the need of an external power or data driver plus; you can link up to 20 units from one power/data source on 120v power and 40 units from a 220v power. Built into 19 inch 1RU rack mounted enclosures, the new audio pass-through panels will meet a wide range of I/O requirements by providing a selection of popular interconnection options for fixed and mobile installations, says the company.

All versions have two 25-way D-sub connectors on the rear panel and engineers can choose four different male/female XLR combinations or 6.35mm (¼ inch) jack sockets on the front panel. Internal connections between the D-sub connectors and the front panels are made using 110 ohm cable, making the panels suitable for digital, AES/EBU and analogue applications. The CABLEnet system is created by weaving and tensioning high tensile steel cable within a frame, which is then hoisted to the required level in a theatre or concert hall and fixed to the building. This creates a totally safe 'virtual floor' on which lighting, audio and AV technicians and riggers can work in complete confidence.
