Milos' facility is designed to provide the space and the latest technologies to deal with all manufacturing needs in-house.

Major Merger - The merger of ticket agent Ticketmaster and concert promoter Live Nation has been cleared by the UK regulator. The Competition Commission said that the merger would "not result in a substantial lessening of competition in the market" in the UK. The decision is a reversal of its provisional ruling. It had been concerned the deal would lead to higher prices and lower quality of service. The US Justice Department is also investigating the proposed merger.

The UK Competition Commission revised its opinion that the deal could lead to music fans paying more for tickets to see live performances. The regulator found that it would not be in the new merged company's interest to shut out competition. The new company "would suffer significant and immediate losses, with very uncertain prospects for long-term gain," the Competition Commission said.

During 2009, the team at LSI Online have delivered over 3,500 news stories to an audience of entertainment technology professionals in no fewer than 177 countries across the world. It's been a record year for online traffic.

On that day, we reported that Britannia Row Productions had invested in 48 stacks of Turbosound Flashlight at the PLASA Show, and that Martin Professional had opened a new UK-based manufacturing facility in Louth, Lincolnshire.

Since then, we have added more than 27,000 news stories to our online database - which remains f

EcoXpress is a touch-screen based software solution installed on to DB Systems' hardware, either kiosks or regular PCs and screens. The terminals allow event delegates to browse exhibitors' literature onscreen, select what is most relevant to them and then email that information to themselves.

At present, delegates who attend events and exhibitions inevitably collect a library of brochures and various forms of corporate literature. Very often these items are lost, damaged, left behind, thrown away or don't contain the information that the delegate wants.

Oliver Richardson, DB Systems' sales director, says, "As a service supplier, DB understands that budgets are tight. One of the benef

Based in Blackburn, near to EDC's original site, Quick Discs has been launched by Grant Mitchell, who had worked at the company for more than 20 years. UK - A.C. Entertainment Technologies has introduced to the entertainment industry the IEC-lock, a power lead specifically designed to guard against accidental disconnection of electrical appliances powered using a standard IEC inlet.

The IEC-lock is an IEC female line plug with an integral locking system that is backwardly compatible with existing IEC male inlet sockets. An internal latch clamps the earth pin, making it resistant to accidental disconnection and vibration. The IEC-lock is used just like a normal power cable, except to unplug it, the user simply pulls back a red button on the underside of the connector to release the lock.

This makes the IEC-lock's locking mechanism suitable for protecting entertainment technology electrical appliances, including computer equipment and data communications applications that require a secure power source.
