USA - Genelec has significantly expanded its international Installed Sound team with the appointment of Anthony Berry as sales support engineer and Andrew Glasmacher as US sales manager. UK - In its 12th year, the Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS) winners’ presentation for Excellence in Sound for a Feature Film 2025 took place at a reception at Warner Bros De Lane Lea, with Dune: Part Two receiving the award.

Gareth John AMPS and Ron Bartlett were present to receive their polished bronze AMPS trophies from chair Andrew Wilson, in the company of AMPS members including Award Group leader and three-time Academy Award nominee Graham Hartstone. Tom Harrison, Martin Kwok, Richard King, Doug Hemphill were unable to attend but will be sent their awards.

UK - TSL’s James McBride is an inspiration for aspiring live event technicians. After completing a live event technician apprenticeship at TSL, delivered in partnership with Access Industry, McBride achieved a Distinction - the highest grade attainable.

McBride joined TSL in 2022 following a successful degree course in Television Production Technology so was able to make an immediate start with a good level of background knowledge.

Europe - After 21 years, Robe outgoing global sales director Ingo Dombrowski will step away from the business and retire from active duties at the end of 2025.

Dombrowski joined Robe in 2004 initially as business development manager, then became a key account manager for Europe helping to manage a period of rapid growth for the company, which saw it jump from being the aspiring ‘new kid on the block’ to a global market leader in moving light and LED technology. “It’s been an absolutely incredible journey,” Dombrowski stated, “and I am very proud to have played a part in Robe’s incredible ascendency”.
