South Korea - The Presbyterian Church of Joy in Mohyun Dong Iksan City, South Korea has recently installed a completely new sound system, consisting of a number of Kling & Freitag self powered systems.

The biggest challenge for Kusan Acoustic Co, the Kling & Freitag distributor in South Korea, was the transformation of the main hall in order to optimise the reverberation time.

In total, seven Line 212-9 - SP are covering the whole auditory area with about 2500 seats. The coverageof the Line 212 is adapted for reaching the whole church up to the last seat and including the balcony. For the bass restitution, two SW 215E - SP subwoofers were hidden invisibly in the stage.

Singapore - An intrinsic part of Singapore's government strategy to focus on the arts, the School of The Arts (SOTA) is the first of its kind in the nation - a specialist high school offering the International Baccalaureate but dedicated to training in the visual and performing arts. Opened to students last year, this July sees the official inauguration of its prestigious new performance spaces, two theatres and a 700-seater concert hall, designed by Arup.

Arup's acoustician Tan Suan Wee drew on his own live sound background when designing the sound reinforcement system for the elegant concert hall. Two systems were able to meet the precise specification, which demanded much in terms of scalability, portability, directional control, clarity and musicality, and, of course, budget. For this high-profile concert venue, the choice came down to a Nexo Geo S12 line array design, with

With the promise that "now you can just use your guitar cable for your in-ear signals", Ohrwurm Showtechnik is launching its IN Ear 1 system at PLASA 2011.

The system consists of a 19" main station and a beltpack with a headphone amplifier. The two devices are connected with a high flexible CAT6 cable and the complete transfer of the guitar signal to the amplifier and the stereo monitor signal to the belt pack is done with this cable.

The power supply of the beltpack comes from the main station, meaning that batteries are not required. The company says that "all known problems of wireless systems are now a thing of the past".

Two stereo channels are mixed in two separate channels at the Main Station. Channel 1 is an input for microphone levels and Channel 2 is a stereo input for line levels from the monitor desk. The second channel can be switched to mono i

Funktion-One says that in order to keep pace with the huge success and high demand of the recently introduced Resolution 3, it has enhanced its production with a new set of tooling for the mid high wave guides. The company says: "This new tooling created the opportunity to refine the technology, taking the product to a new level".

This has also given rise to the new stand-alone R3SH which has been used to great acclaim in venues as diverse as the National Theatre, for Danny Boyle's production of Frankenstein, and to the main room at Space Ibiza. The development further underlines Funktion One's stance that good loudspeakers are in no way genre specific and are suitable for all audio applications.

Demonstrations of Funktion-One's full range of products will be taking place throughout the show in the company's demonstration room, in the Permanent Press Office, near the Terrac

UK - Independent AV consultant Richard Northwood of COMS has given a resounding thumbs-up to the final and definitive test of the Nexo sound system he specified at Glasgow's Ibrox Stadium, the home of Rangers Football Club. After a recent home match, attended by more than 50,000 fans, he described the newly-installed PA/VA as being "as near as one can get to hi-fi in a performance space as large as this".

Ibrox is listed as a heritage site, which means that parts of the 130-year old building's architecture are protected by law. It is also of huge cultural importance to its community of supporters; many fans have been attending matches, sitting in the same seat, for decades, and so the design and installation of a new sound system had to consider sensibilities far and above the provision of audible evacuation instruction.

Stephen Scott, project manager for Ibrox, expl

The band themselves commented on the sonic improvement the moment the PRO6 arrived. Their latest record was made without any computers at all; it's five guys with five instruments on the record and live, and the sound of the PRO6 complements this approach perfectly."
