Italy - Organisers of the Italian professional entertainment technology exhibition ShowWay have announced that the long-awaited second edition of the event will take place in Bergamo, Italy, from 15 to 17 May 2011.

Having put the show on ice last year, allowing its exhibitors to "concentrate their efforts on optimising their businesses during the peak of the world recession," organisers feel the time is right for a recovery-boosting show.The show will follow the same format as the successful 2008 debut event, which saw 65 exhibiting companies attend - 60% coming from outside Italy - and 6,783 visitors from 35 nations.

UK - Over 6500 visitors have confirmed their attendance at London's entertainment and installation technology trade show, one month after registration opened on 1 January 2011. The unprecedented surge in visitor registrations represents a 30% increase on the same period in 2010.

Australia - ENTECH 2011 show organisers have confirmed an agreement with PLASA, the leading international membership body for those who supply technologies and services to the event, entertainment and installation industries.

ENTECH 2011, which takes place at SCEC on 19 - 21 July 2011, will now include a new stream in its educational program featuring international speakers from PLASA's extensive global membership base.

Over 4000 visitors are expected to register for ENTECH 2011, and attendance at the seminars will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Visitors will be able to secure their seats for a seminar via the ENTECH website in the coming weeks.

UK / Germany - On the eve of the EN54 series of fire safety standards passing into European law this week, TOA has announced that another raft of its products have been given EN54-24 loudspeaker system certification.

Australia - ENTECH 2011, which takes place at SCEC on 19 - 21 July 2011, has secured international lighting designer Rob Halliday to speak during the educational programme at the show through its agreement with PLASA.

Rob Halliday is based in London and has been travelling the world working on theatre productions for more than 15 years, as lighting designer, lighting programmer or visiting speaker at drama schools such as the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and trade shows such as Showlight, PLASA and LDI.

UK / Germany - DiGiCo has announced the adoption of Audinate's Dante digital networking solution and the launch of two new Dante implemented products at this year's Prolight+Sound.

"The first, an eight channel I/O module for the SD-Rack, is something we believe the industry would expect from DiGiCo," says managing director James Gordon. "The module allows our users to drop audio on and off a Dante network for connection to system control, amplifiers and general audio networks.
