USA - Crown Audio has appointed Eric Friedlander to the role of business developer, tour sound. In this role, Friedlander will be responsible for supporting sales in the tour sound market and working closely with the customer base to provide tailored solutions to meet each customer's specific needs. He will report to Crown's market manager for tour sound, Brian Pickowitz.

Prior to joining Crown, Friedlander served as a staff audio engineer for LD Systems L.P., a major sound, light and video production firm. In this role he was responsible for the production of corporate and special events, designing and deploying specialized sound reinforcement systems as well as mixing live performances.

Based in London, Frost gained years of hands-on experience, as a crew member on live productions, and as an audio engineer in studios and clubs. She earned her BSc degree in Live Event Technology at the University of Glamorgan in Cardiff after two years at the University of Salford in Manchester, where she graduated from its HND Audio and Video Systems programme.

USA - Audio-Technica has announced the appointment of Mark Donovan to the newly created position of sales engineer - installed sound, reflecting the company's continuing dedication to the installed sound market sector. India Harman Professional has announced the creation of three new sales teams positions in India and the appointments of Kaushal Garg, Robin Ghose, and Vibhor Khanna to fill the roles. The new additions will serve as the national sales manager and the regional sales managers for North and West India, respectively, and will be directed by Harman Professional's senior director of sales for Asia, David McKinney.

Garg comes to Harman with 22 years of experience at Bhartia Cutler Hammer, a switchgear company, and most recently Bose India, where he was the head of the Professional Division for sales for the past 12 years. USA - Bridget Cox, a contract project manager with J. R. Clancy, has passed the exam in the Entertainment Technician Certification Programme (ETCP) for Theatre Rigging. Cox is now an ETCP-certified rigging professional.

The certification indicates proficiency in the use of counterweight, mechanical, and hydraulic systems installed in theatres. ETCP riggers also understand the health and safety issues involved in the use of theatre rigging, as well as Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements for the use, maintenance and inspection of rigging.

Formerly the assistant technical director for the New York City Opera, Cox joined the Clancy staff in 2008. She now oversees the in-house completion of large contract projects, spending the bulk of her time at customer sites.
