The Society provides a meeting point for all those interested in the history and technique of the British theatre, offering its members annual publications, the journal Theatre Notebook and many other privileges. It also organises an annual series of public lectures, whose speakers last season included David Wood, Oliver Ford Davies and Professor Peter Thomson. It is responsible for a number of research grants, and awards its annual Theatre Book Prize. The Society's president is Timothy West.

Wilmshurst has a solid lighting controls industry background and experience in both European and Asian markets, most recently as European marketing manager, lighting controls for Philips Lighting in Eindhoven. In his new role he will focus on both the domestic UK and European markets served by Dynalite Europe, overseeing all aspects of the business and contributing to strategic development.

Howard will direct Community's efforts, developing new business in the themed entertainment, cruise ship, casino, and hotel industries, as well as in the military, OEM, and business music markets.

UK - Bosch Security Systems based in Denham has announced an expansion of its UK marketing communications team following the recent appointment of managing director Jeremy Hockham.

Samantha Dean has now become marketing communications manager for the company responsible for all advertising, PR, exhibitions, newsletters and general publicity. Previously marketing coordinator, she now heads up the Bosch marketing team, which has also recently been expanded to include Leigh Hutchinson and Christine Cooper as marketing account support executives.
