Indonesia - British artists, Kula Shaker and Ian Brown, recently performed together at the LAP ABC Senayan venue in Jakarta, Indonesia, where Allen & Heath's iLive digital mixing systems were employed to manage FOH and monitor sound.
"Advance production planning was imperative for Kula Shaker as the performance was part of a 14-date tour of the Far East, and we were only able to fly in on the day. Even though the promoter arranged a police escort from the airport to get us through rush hour, we only had 30 minutes for set up and sound check before doors opened," said Kula Shaker's monitor engineer and production manager, Mike Taylor.
The bands' engineers were given the option of an analogue ML5000 or an iLive digital mixing system, comprising an iDR-48 MixRack and iLive-T112 Control Surface.
"I chose iLive because I was able to build a show and lay out - inclu

Germany - What was once the Alb Stadium and later, after extensive building and renovation work, the GAGFAH Arena in Heidenheim was recently renamed the VOITH Arena after the largest employer in the region. The expansion of the stadium was necessitated by a surge in the performance of the football team FC Heidenheim 1846, which was promoted two years running - from the fifth division to the third. A year in the reconstruction, the recently reopened stadium now has a capacity of 10,000 spectators, with the option of further expansion to 15,000.
The entire sound reinforcement system was replaced in the course of the work. As was the case with the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and the Allianz Arena in Munich, great importance was attached to the quality of the audio equipment in the VOITH Arena, the result being that all three stadiums now are equipped with systems from Electro-Voice a
Germany - Audinate reports that the new Dante enabled HD2 loudspeaker processor from Four Audio for wiil be shown at ProLight+Sound. The HD2 is a high end 4-in 8-out loudspeaker management system with advanced features such as FIR filtering with high frequency resolution down to the lowest frequencies and a dynamic input range of 135 dB.

You can make the complete system of speaker and controller phase linear, even down to the lowest frequencies. Of course, all kinds of familiar IIR crossovers can be used, too."
"The development and roll-out of the new Dante HD2 was quickly achieved by integrating Audinate's Dante Brooklyn II module," says John McMahon Audinate

Australia - At first glance, Moorebank Sports Club in southern Sydney appears to be located in an ideal position when it comes to neighbours who complain about noise leakage. However, even though the Club is surrounded by a large car park, fields and bush land and the nearest neighbour is over 250m away, there were still noise issues.
The Club, known locally as Sporties, has been extensively renovated over the past two years to include a new gaming room, TAB, bar, café and multiple lounge areas. In an attempt to make the Club more family friendly, they have also added a kids club called Manta Ray, an outdoor play gym and are building a parents room at the present time.
The aim was to create a comfortable environment with relaxed areas for people to unwind in however the Club's neighbours and poker machine players were not relaxing when the amplified music began.
