Denmark - Martin Professional's EMEA sales organisation has announced that Frank Schiff has joined the company's sales team as project sales manager for EMEA Region North.

Schiff joined Martin on 1 October and will oversee project activities in Martin's southern German, Austrian and Swiss markets. He began his career as an electrical engineer and has been working in and around the electrical industry, latest as a key account manager, for more than 20 years.

UK - Cadac Holdings has announced the departure of director of sales Bob Thomas, who is leaving to pursue personal business interests.

The professional audio and electronics industry veteran joined Cadac Electronics plc in 2005 as managing director. Charged with broadening the company's product portfolio beyond its core theatre sound market and addressing its accumulating financial difficulties, he directed R&D activity towards the exploitation of the company's renowned engineering superiority across a wider product range. At the same time he oversaw the acquisition of the company by Soundking Group Company in January 2009, resulting in the recapitalisation of the business and its R&D programme.

USA - Craig Dains, who served as an account executive for the Healy Group, a manufacturer's representative firm based in Richmond, Virginia, has died. The cause was complications from heart disease. He was 26.

Dains handled American DJ, American Audio, Elation Professional, Acclaim Lighting, Global Truss, and Arriba Cases on the East Coast. He is survived his companion, Melissa J. Clements, his son Craig Brian Dains Jr., his parents, and six siblings.

Dains was scheduled to take part in American DJ's Fall Learning Tour on November 16 and 17; the events have now been cancelled, with a statement from American DJ announcing they will be rescheduled. The company expressed deep regret at Dain's passing.
